নোয়াখালীর চাটখিল উপজেলার সিংবহুড়া গ্রামের আনোয়ার উল্যাহ চেরাং বাড়ির ইতালি প্রবাসী রুবেল হোসেনের স্ত্রী অর্পিতা আক্তারকে (১৬) হত্যার অভিযোগে শাশুড়ী,ননদ ও ননদের জামাইসহ ৩ জনকে জনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে তাদের আটক করা হয়েছে। আটককৃতরা হচ্ছে অর্পিতার শাশুড়ী রহিমা বেগম (৫০), ননদ ফারহানা আক্তার (২৮) ও ননদের জামাই মজিবুর রহমান (৪০)।
গৃহবধূ অর্পিতার ভগ্নিপতি হাছান অভিযোগ করে জানান, আজ ভোর রাত ৩টার দিকে ইতালি থেকে অর্পিতার স্বামীর মাধ্যমে অর্পিতার মৃত্যুর সংবাদ পেয়ে তিনি তার শশুড় বাড়িতে যান। ওই বাড়ির লোকজন জানায় অর্পিতা রাত ৯/১০টার দিকে আত্মহত্যা করেছে। ওই সময় তাদের জানানো হয়নি। অর্পিতাকে হত্যা করে ঘটনা ধাপাচাপা দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়েছে তারা । তিনি দাবি করেন অর্পিতার মুখে ও শরীরে আঘাতের চিহ্ন রয়েছে । আটককৃত ৩জনের বিরুদ্ধে চাটখিল থানায় অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছেন তিনি ।
চাটখিল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) ইমদাদুল হক আজ দুপুরে জানান, পুলিশ ৯৯৯-এর কল পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে গৃহবধূর লাশ উদ্ধার করে ময়না তদন্তের জন্য নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে প্রেরণ করে। আটককৃতদের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ চলছে বলে জানান তিনি।
