আজ বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে নোয়াখালীর বানিজ্যিক কেন্দ্র চৌমুহনীর মোরশেদ আলম কমপ্লেক্সে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এ অভিযোগ করেন নৌকার প্রার্থী মোরশেদ আলম। এ ছাড়া ৬৫ জন আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাকর্মীর বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করেছে স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী(কাঁচি) আতাউর রহমান ভূইয়া মানিক ।
তিনি অভিযোগ করে আরও বলেন, তাকে হত্যার উদ্দেশ্যে হামলা করেছে মানিকের কর্মীরা। অথচ এখন পর্যন্ত কোন আসামি গ্রেফতার হয়নি।
এ দিকে নৌকার প্রার্থীর অভিযোগ প্রত্যাখ্যান করে পাল্টা অভিযোগ করে স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী আতাউর রহমান ভূইয়া মানিক বলেন, নৌকার সমর্থকরা আমার নেতাকর্মীদের না ভাবে হয়রানি করছে ।
তিনি বলেন, নৌকার সমর্থকরা নিজেদের ঘটনা নিজেরাই ঘটিয়ে আমার নেতাকর্মীদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা দিয়ে হয়রানি করছে এবং ভোটারা যাতে কেন্দ্র না যান এ জন্য তার পরিকল্পিতভাবে ঘটনাগুলো করছে। ইতিপূর্বে আমার এক সমর্থকের বাড়িতে হামলা, ভাঙচুর ও গুলিবর্ষন করেছে। পুলিশ এই ঘটনায় এখনো কাউকে গ্রেফতার করেনি। এর পর আরেকটি মিথ্যা মামলা দিয়ে সাবেক পৌর মেয়র আবু জাফর টিপুসহ আমার ১১জন নেতাকর্মীকে হয়রানি করছে এবং নৌকার সমর্থনে বহিরাগত সন্ত্রাসী নিয়ে এলাকায় মহড়া দিচ্ছেন। অথচ প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলছেন উৎসব মুখর পরিবেশে ভোট করার জন্য।
