নোয়াখালীর সুবর্ণচর উপজেলায় এক প্রতিবন্ধী কিশোরীকে (১৫) ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে দায়েরকৃত মামলার যাবজ্জীবন সাজাপ্রাপ্ত পলাতক আসামি ইব্রাহিম খলিল ওরফে সোহেলকে (৩১) গ্রেফতার করেছে র্যাপিড একশন ব্যাটালিয়ন র্যাব-১১ এর সিপিসি-৩ এর নোয়াখালী ক্যাম্পের এর সদস্যরা। গ্রেফতারকৃত ইব্রাহিম খলিল ওরফে সোহেল সুবর্ণচর উপজেলার চর আমান উল্যা গ্রামের মৃত জয়নাল আবেদীনের ছেলে।
গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ১০টার দিকে বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার চৌরাস্তা এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
র্যাবের নোয়াখালী ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানি অধিনায়ক লেফটেন্যান্ট কমান্ডার মাহমুদুল হাসান বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে তথ্য প্রযুক্তির সহযোগিতায় অভিযান চালিয়ো তাকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। আসামি রায় ঘোষণার পর থেকে সাজা এড়াতে গা ঢাকা দেন। তার বিরুদ্ধে আইনি ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের জন্য চরজব্বর থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়।
আজ শুক্রবার আসামিকে নোয়াখালীর জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আদালতে সোপর্দ করা হবে বলে জানান তিনি।
